Transportation to/on LBI
Long Beach Island
has no mass transit system and there is no way to get to the island
using mass transportation. The closet point of arrival to LBI is
Manahawkin (Rt. 9 and Rt. 72 intersection) and you must use a car service across the
causeway to LBI.

has begun providing transportation services from New York City to Long
Beach Island . The fare is $30 each way. Vehicles will operate on
Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays. All trips are done by

There is no direct train service to Manahawkin or Atlantic City.
You can take a train to a station that intersects the train from
Philadelphia, but it would be easier to take NJ Transit Bus Route #67
to Tom's River, then Rt. 559 to Manahawkin.
